Coastal Coaching Reset

There are times when you just need space to think.

Not thinking squeezed in between meetings.

Not trying to work things out whilst replying to emails.

Proper space.

That’s the idea behind my Coastal Coaching Reset.

It’s a two-day experience where you step away from everything and give yourself the time to properly think things through, whether that’s your career, your business, or what you want next.

I recently ran this with Julia, who was a senior leader in a FTSE 100 organisation and is now at a point of deciding what comes next.

What she needed wasn’t more input.

She needed space to get clear.

Over the two days, we combined outdoor coaching sessions with time walking along the coast and up on the downs. There’s a loose structure to the days, but plenty of space within it.

Time to talk things through.

Time to think on your own.

Time in between sessions where your brain can wander and start joining things up.

We also build in proper pauses, whether that’s sitting with a thought, or even over something as simple as dinner. It all becomes part of the process.

And being by the sea helps. You slow down. You think differently. Things become clearer, quicker than you expect.

What stood out again is how many people are carrying big decisions around with them

but never quite giving themselves the time to resolve them.

So they stay in it.

Circling the same thoughts.

Knowing something needs to shift.

When you step out of that, even for a couple of days, things move.

You get perspective.

You get clarity on what you actually want.

And you’re able to make decisions with much more confidence.

This isn’t for everyone.

It’s for people who know something needs to move forward,

but don’t want to rush it or get it wrong.

People who are:

  • at a point of change
  • shaping what comes next
  • or carrying a decision they haven’t yet made

If that’s you, this work is incredibly powerful.

Have a look at the video below, Julia shares her experience of the two days.

And if you’re thinking “I need this” you probably do.
